So what defines success? Being successful can mean countless different thing to different people. For many it means monetary wealth and independence which may include a exceptional residence, vacations travelling the globe, and financial security for them and their kids. For some others it can mean admiration, being looked at as a leader and having countless people looking up to you. It can also mean liberation from the anxieties and worries that countless people have in their lives.
Being a success can mean happiness in finding pleasure from life and getting to the end of your life knowing that you've enjoyed it to the full in an sincere and honourable way. Not winning against others, winning against yourself along with your own individual anxieties and restrictions. In reality everyone wants to be a winner in life and to have the best that life can offer. Nobody enjoys living in poverty and mediocrity.
Some of the most practical success ethos ever devised have in reality come from biblical material. Everyone's heard the saying 'faith can move a mountain'. This is possibly correct that with an adequate amount of faith and determination one may be able to move a mountain where it might take some time, but the idea that with faith and belief you can realize everything you want in life is fundamentally correct, and has been verified time and time again right through history.
If you are confident that you can do something, you have no doubts, and you trust that it will happen so fervently it is almost as if it already has, that reality begins to develop. I have no idea how this works but it actually does. You tend to find yourself in the right place at the right time, speaking to exactly the sort of person who can assist you, or finding yourself in a situation that you would find impossible to imagine, but that helps you slowly toward your objectives.
Now I'm not one for mumbo-jumbo and giving people bogus hope, but this has without doubt worked in my life and can work in yours. You just need to educate yourself to think in that way. You can usually tell who the positive people are. They walk with their heads held high and with spring and swiftness in their stride. It's apparent that they know where they're heading and are not just aimlessly moving through their life with no direction. On the other hand you can see the person who has no direction or desire. They typically walk with a stoop, failing to lift their feet properly off the ground, and mumbling rather than talking clearly. It's as if the whole weight of the world is on the shoulders, and to them it feels like it is. What sort of person do you want to be?
So start off by behaving more positively in your life. At first you may possibly need to lie to yourself. Tell yourself it's a breathtaking day, that things are great, and that you will attain your goals. Tell yourself time and time again. Each time you speak these words you are training your mind. Training yourself to the extent that in the future you will come to believe these things. I'm not talking about giving yourself fake hope for the sake of it, but helping you to shift away from the pessimistic feelings you have towards a more optimistic outlook.
Every morning tell yourself how fortunate you are to be alive, what a fantastic day it is, and how thankful you are for your health, your family, and all the good things you have in your life. This will prove a great start towards overcoming your anxieties and concerns for the future, and changing yourself into a person who knows that they can succeed. Good Luck.
